Bottomley

The Bottomley line came from Southowram / Brighouse in the Halifax area and were weavers of silk and later moquet.

Cunningham

The Cunningham line came from Galway in Ireland and settled in Huddersfield.  They were labourers in the building industry and later in the furniture trade.

Goodman

The Goodmans were in nail making in Wolverhampton. Then became miners in Sedgley. By 1900 they had moved to Kiveton Park, and continued in mining.

Greenwood

The Greenwoods were farmers on the Yorkshire Lancashire Border and later became involved in the engineering  side of  the textile industry.

Lee

The Lee family lived in Beighton.  Thomas Lee was  was invited to Ferns in Ireland due to his skill in making  farm implements such as sythes and knives.

Schofield

The Schofields were miners who came from Manchester to Castleford.  They later moved to Copley, Halifax and worked in the textile Industry.
